Sandies of Love

One of the greatest ways to start my day is to have breakfast cooked by my one and only Siew Khee. The usual order of the day for breakfast is sandwiches (which I have come to call sandies). I simply love sandies, they are too me the best meal that anyone can have, IMHO. It does not happen every day though because of our early morning schedule and if she has been working the whole night before then it would be just cruel to expect a home prepared breaky. But when she has the time she will make something simple, like a humble peanut butter and jam sandwich.

Being the culinary master for oriental cooking and being one who loves to impress via the kitchen, when she has time and the mood she will prepare something extravagant and today was no exception. Today's sandies was pan fried chicken marinated with special sauce and of course garlic and with simple bread lovingly cushioned with a juicy tomato and the absolute necessity in all sandies, coriander! I am sure there was more in that sandie but these are the flavours that still linger in my mind and mouth.

To me, honestly, they are filled with flavour and that extra special ingredient called love. There is nothing like food prepared from the heart where the eater is put first. Nowhere in this world can you find such cooking for any price except in a home!

M blessed - it took great control to stop eating and take pictures
